With the popularity of Punk’d and Jackass last year, I expected sequels of both shows. Although Punk’d is back, Jackass has been replaced by two new shows, Viva la Bam, and Wild Boyz. All three shows premiered October 26. All three shows are very funny, and I hope they can keep the hilarity going.
Instead of a few pranksters, Ashton has enlisted a virtual army of people to help him carry out his pranks. Last night, Hilary Duff was given a shock as her car was hi-jacked during a fake driving test. I have a feeling that the pranks will become more extreme and complex as the season continues. I can’t wait to see what Ashton has in store for the celebrities this year.
Viva la Bam got off to a good start as Bam Margera built a skate park in his mother’s home. The shocked look on her face was priceless. The senseless beatings his father receives will probably occur every episode, as well as the crazy stunts Bam is known for. Since Bam is a skater-boarder, Viva la Bam will probably focus on extreme skate stunts as opposed to acts of utter insanity. That’s where Wild Boyz comes in.
Wild Boyz features two of the most senseless people on the planet, Steve-O and Chris ‘Party-Boy’ Pontius. Steve-O enjoys stapling a very sensitive part of his body, and Chris enjoys dancing around men while wearing a thong. The two work very well together. Last night, the two played football with hungry Hyenas, swam with Great White Sharks, and ran naked with Orstriches.
Of the three shows, it’s hard to pick just one to watch. They come on back to back to back, so it’s not very hard to watch all three. I have to thank all the people involved in these shows for the senseless acts of stupidity and the pranks they pull. It brings so much of us joy and entertainment. Keep doing stupid stuff guys.
