When I first heard about MTV making a reality show out of pop stars Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson's marriage I was thrilled.

Being a fan of course I had already marked my calendar to not miss a single episode. I wasn't quite sure what would make their marriage so interesting, but man was I in for a surprise. It's almost as if Jessica and Nick are from two separate worlds. Jessica is either arguing with Nick, or complaining about something such as being hungry, tired, bored etcetera. What can you expect marrying a girl who has been pampered all of her life. She even admitted that as a child she never cleaned her room so how do you expect her to clean house. On the other hand, I think Jessica's character is a little exaggerated at least I hope. Everyone can relate to saying something stupid such as her episode with Tuna...

Jessica: "Is this chicken what I have, or is this fish? I know it's tuna, but it says chicken. By the sea."

Nick: "A lot of people eat tuna, a lot of people eat chicken, so it's like 'Chicken of the Sea.' "

Jessica: "Is that stupid? Why is it called Chicken By the Sea? Or of the sea?"

Nick: "You act like you've never had tuna before."

Well anyways, after only a couple of episodes Newlyweds is holding strong with ratings and is already up for a second season.

Maybe after testing the waters of marriage Jessica will learn to grow up and do all the things associated with being married like cleaning, cooking, doing laundry. But then what would make the show interesting???

The season finale airs this Tuesday!
