Biography:

Why'd you choose to do journalism?: First and foremost I can write better than I can speak. With journalism I can break the mold of ridiculous formats and boundaries presented by those things known as English classes. So naturally, since I strongly dislike writing English papers but highly enjoy writing journalism was the way to go.

What made you choose The Media Fix?: Really I didn’t want to join at all…But Julie threatened to beat me up and cut off one finger at a time until I decided to be one of her minions (a.k.a. staff member)…I’m currently typing with three fingers. On the serious side of it though, I liked the concept of covering media in general and I saw that it was a professional site and not some joke. P.S. Julie’s a nice gal and we should applaud her hard work.

What are some of your long term dreams?: Being that I do my best to be logical and realistic, my dreams are quite simple. The thing I hope for and look forward to the most is having a family and house of my own. Job wise I just want to make sure I have one that I am happy with and enjoy doing. Idealistically, it’d be awesome to be in a band that’s big enough to tour and make money and what not. But everyone wants to be a rockstar these days so I’m not going to place high hopes on that.

What was your favorite celebrity encounter?: I can’t say I’ve ever come across any huge celebrity. But the most entertaining one would have to be the drummer from Home Grown. He was selling merch at their booth Warped Tour of ’02. Unfortunately they got rained out and I didn’t get to see them play. However, I talked with him for a good ten minutes or so and got to listen to his humorous angry vents about random things. Funny guy. Funny and good band.
